Garden Symposium

Colonial Williamsburg’s 73rd Garden Symposium, April 26 – 28, 2019, “Garden Design: Trends & Traditions”

The Governor's Palace

The 2019 Garden Symposium will focus on ways to enhance our gardens by mixing the old with the new. Since garden design constantly evolves, we thought it would be helpful to take stock in the latest trends within the context of the unforgotten, and the tried and true. Outside garden experts and Colonial Williamsburg’s horticultural staff will share their knowledge and perspectives on a variety of topics, whether it be growing food, providing wildlife cover, smart plant choices, or clever utilization of small spaces.
